1) QR Code

Positive implication;
  • can keep your printed marketing costs low
  • QR codes can be used for anything and everything
Negative implication;
  • mobile users have to download a QR reader app before they can even begin to use them
  • scanning can be a long process
  • risk faced by the consumers. Consumers face the risk of getting virus through malicious sites or download on their smartphone
2) E-Ticketing

 Positive implication;
  • easier to make changes to their travel itinerary using an e-ticket
  • the tickets also are booked and processed in a more timely way, saving labor hours and cutting down on traveler frustration
  • easily track down passengers to inform anything
Negative implication;
  • a computer crash could cause a passenger's reservation and other information to supply vanish.
3) Online Apps

 Positive implication;
  • automation - with all the information bening available instantly, people can look for whatever they want without talking to anyone about the same

  • privacy breach and data theft-personal information and data being stolen and harvasted by companies with lowly ethics

 Positive implication;

  • Databases store all user data and account information, if these serves are hacked, it could lead to financial and personal problems

Positive implication;
  • the ability to improve security by locking out past hotel keycards, whereas previous keys could have been cut or altered
  • efficient - guests can check out with their key cards  and the hotel's system will automatically record customer information
  Negative implication;
  • swipe card door entry system can sometimes be a little bit unreliable  
2. Discuss the concept of travel and tourism from Islamic perspective.
  • In Islamic history, traveling by Prophet Muhammad to spread the Islamic teaching has encouraged Muslim tourist to travel to learn more about thought and civilazation
  • the concept of Islamic tourism also can be considered as Ibadah and Da'wah where tourist travel from one place is being seen as a blessing from God by avoid any wrongdoings during the travel. Any other words if can also be translated as religious tourism, spiritual tourism and cultural tourism as well as the claims that characteristic of Islamic Tourism itself are flexible, simple and balanced
  • Furthermore, an Islamic tourism can concept also brewed with economic concept, cultural concept and religion conservative concept. Factors that need to be emphasized in promoting Muslim destinations include prayer time, halal food destinations and travel tips on Muslim conduct.

The issue related to sustainable development in tourism and hospitality 
  
       That are a number of sustainable and environmental issues that plague the hospitality industry
   
        Energy Use 
          -This impacts all organizations in the hospitality industry
          -This includes the electricity of restaurants hotels and resorts, as well as the gas used by
           tourism,ski resorts and more
   
        Food waste
          -Often times foods are not reusable and are then thrown away.
          - This creates problems for the environment, both in the action of throwing out the food and
            the demand it places on the environment produce more.
          
        Water Usage
           -This is a big one. Many resorts and hotels have a lot of water waste from long guest showers
            and huge pools.
           -In restaurants , they use water for dishes and often the machines are not efficient at saving                  water

        Pollution
           -This is an issue anytime there are high outputs of oil, natural gas , gas online or coal
           -Wheter these are used for energy or they used for transportation, the amount of pollution
            caused by organizations in hospitality can be a big problem.
   
        Garbage/Waste
           -This becomes important because items that are not recyclable will eventually clog up the                    environment and create trash
            - Anything from cups to the way a company prints agendas and maps, can either increase or                 decrease the trash produced which can litter the environment.


           
All of these issues can become important in all facets of the hospitality industry.A sustainable development in business is developing operating procedures that meet the organizations needs without compromising the environment or the local culture of the future,.Sustainable development brings together the environmental, social and economic needs of a community.

TOPIC 7

Issues and trends in Tourism and hospitality Industry.
Issues:
- not all technological advances will be used to enhance business efficiency
- A glimpse of what may be in store for hotel guest in the future can be seen at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport hotel where it is no longer necessary for guests to check in at the hotel's front desk
- the future of air travel is likely to be larger, more direct and faster.

Trends:
- online travel purchasing is rising dramatically
- online restaurant reservation sites provide a place for independent restaurants to advertise and book reservation.
- customer relationship management (CRM) is becoming a popular technology topic for large and small hospitality companies alike.

TOPIC 6

Identify tourism products and packages suitable for tourism travellers.

Tourism product is can be defined as the sum of physical & psychological satisfacition it provides to tourist during their travelling route to destination.

Types of tourism product;
  1. Attraction - the destination’s (tourism product) environment, independently and/or integrated form, succour as the principal motivation for tourists
  2. Accessibility - Access is a subject of transport infrastructure and transport technology. Whilst transport infrastructure includes airports, harbours, motor ways and rail networks
  3. Accommodation -  accommodation (all types), restaurants, cafes and bars, transport at the destination (car rentals and taxis) and other ancillary services such as retailing, visitor information etc.
  4. Images -  Images are, in fact, significant in the sense that they affect the buyer’s behaviour. Tourism product images are not given to be based on personal experience but on the information gathered from the tourist organizations and the tourists who have experienced it earlier.
  5. Price - Price is a function of the attractions and facilities provided, with a range of prices according to the needs of target visitor segments. Price is the sums total of the costs on product elements such as travel, accommodation and involvement in a range of selected services at the destination.



Packages suitable for muslim travellers;
 Many packages are suitbable for muslim's travellers either in country or out country. For example, travellers also can search in web under travel agency.
